  • My proposed programme for 2025 is:
    April 6th (Sunday) Noggin & Natter, venue tbc. Easter is late in 2025, so this date is clear of the school holidays;

    May 16th - 18th Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth - not an FOA rally, but I plan to take Jojac round for the weekend. According to my current list there are six boats in Dartmouth, Torquay and the Exe, so if anyone is interested we could meet up for a pint or two over this weekend, either by boat (nice shake-down opportunity) or by road.

    June - Fisher 55 at Cowes - arrive Cowes Monday 30th June, depart from end of Friday 4th July. I plan to take Jojac for the week, leaving Torquay on Monday 23rd June and pootling along the coast via Lyme Regis, Poole, Lymington, etc. I would expect to take another week to wander back, so aiming to be back in Torquay by around the 12th of July. If other SW & W boats are going to Cowes and would like to meet up informally along the way, please let me know;

    August - a number of members have said they'd like to go to Falmouth this year so our summer rally will aim to get there - it will be a an 'a la carte' style so boats can join or leave as they wish, potentially including Dartmouth, Salcombe, the Yealm, St German's River, Fowey, Helford River, Falmouth and then up the river to Malpas and by small boat up to Truro. Mylor is also quite pleasant, so it is easy to spend a few days in the Fal.

    I am thinking that the last two weeks of August would work, with the intention in my case of getting to Dartmouth by Thursday 28th for the regatta weekend. Jojac doesn't race, obviously, but it is a fun time. So I'm thinking that Jojac will leave Torquay around Friday 15th August, arriving at Falmouth Wednesday 20th, heading back from Sunday 24th - but all to be confirmed, and all weather-dependent of course;

    October 5th (Sunday) end of season Noggin & Natter, venue tbc.

    If you have any suggestions for improving my provisional plan I would welcome them. I will take a bit of time in the New Year to explore venues for our April and October get-togethers and will firm up plans as soon as I am able - and again, any suggestions for locations will be warmly received.
